What I’m All About

Where it Started, well this was at school, always looked forward to Sports and Woodworking, I was never going to be a footballer so decided for a career in Carpentry! That was the dream, however it never materialized.

I found a passion for electronics and started in the home entertainment repair sector, enjoyed a good eight years or so in this field, and then management beckoned, again enjoyed the work, managed to travel to far flung places, for nearly twenty years, and long days in the office came to an end when I was let go by the company I worked for in 2020. I was fortunate and only out of work for 12 hours, head hunted by a company close by. Fixed hour contract, I started to be a normal person, no more twelve-hour days, no pressures and some freedom and time gains.

Although I have always enjoyed Woodworking, time never really gave me satisfaction to start or complete a side project. Now the passion for woodworking has given me a new drive.....

How did Sawdust shoes come about?

well one day I came in from the workshop and my wife stopped me in my tracks, looked at my shoes, and told me to get out 'you've got SAWDUST all over your shoes'
